Eau Claire Therapists

Our Eau Claire Counseling Clinic

Established in 1986 as Systems Counseling and Consulting, the clinic became Omne Clinic, Inc in 1997. The name is Latin and means for all or in an integrated way. We have over 20 licensed counselors on staff, including psychiatrists, psychologists, master's-level psychotherapists, registered nurses, alcohol and drug abuse counselors, and crisis coordinators.

Omne Clinic is privately owned and operated and not part of a bigger hospital or medical health system. You will find the atmosphere to be more family-like, and your records are much more effectively shielded from access. However, as a private company, we cannot operate on reduced fees and or sliding fee scales.

We are a local provider of outpatient mental health and AODA services where the care is integrated with crisis response team. If you need some immediate attention or crisis care to your situation, we also offer an urgent care program.

As a state-certified clinic, Omne Clinic adheres to Wisconsin State policies and regulations with regard to patient's rights. View our privacy practices.

Our Approach to Therapy

At Omne Clinic, we believe that psychological stress and problem behavior is best understood in terms of relationships. These relationships include, but are not limited to, the ones in the workplace, family, and community. While mental disorders can be caused by physical, genetic, and developmental factors, treatment at our counseling clinics focuses on the you in the context of your environment. This is why we prefer to stay in touch with other people who care about your well being such as your family physician, caseworker, or school personnel. At all times, however, we observe the highest standards of confidentiality, and only you or your parent/guardian can authorize release of information.

The Role of a Psychiatrist in Your Care

The role of the psychiatrist in your care is strictly medication management whether it be a psychiatrist who may consult with us within our clinic or a clinician who is part of our local referral group. Your psychiatrist and the attending nurse will seek to help you with your problems by prescribing medications. Some patients may be disappointed if they find out that neither the psychiatrist nor the nurse is set up or has time to do one-on-one talking therapy. Your time with these clinicians is going to be very brief, usually to either start or follow-up on medication. If you feel that your route to wellness must include a talk component, you should seek to have the services of a psychologists or master's level psychotherapist.
