Ask Omne!
is a community outreach program for anyone 14 years or older to connect
with a professional counselor anonymously and free of charge. The best
way to describe the service is that it is a local “Dear Abby”
opportunity if someone wants to “talk” and ask a question regarding a
persistent problem involving mental health issues.
In order to connect and/or get advice, you must come to the Omne Clinic
in person during office hours (see schedule below), sign a general
consent and release form (initials only), be able to type and have some
working knowledge about computers.
You enter your question, problem or thought and within 48 workday
hours, the therapist “on duty” will respond to you on the Email address
you provide.
Ask Omne!
is a general advice service. You are not considered to be a patient of
Omne. There is no fee for the service. The counselor may feel the need
to advise you to seek advanced counseling. Do not use this service if
you are suicidal or think you may harm yourself or others. In that
case, call the county Crisis line (211). We reserve the right to refuse
to respond to your inquiry if we feel the question is
inappropriate/offensive or in any way against the spirit of the
service.
